World Computer Congress is the most significant ICT international event patronized by
IFIP– leading multinational, apolitical organization in Information & Communications Technologies and Sciences recognized by United Nations that represents IT Societies from 56 countries or regions, covering all 5 continents with a total membership of over half a million organized in more than 101 Working Groups reporting to 13 Technical Committees. ITG, in partnership with AICA, was the organizer of this conference that held in Milan from 7th to 10th September 2008 and it fully managed-with the precious collaboration of Fiera Milano – the whole planning executive and creative process. WCC usually provides a unique opportunity to share ideas and experiences with worldwide experts in the field but, compared to the previous and the next editions, the 2008 one introduced for the first time an important innovation:
Cross Sessions aimed at deepening the integration between
Business, Technology and Research. An exemplary combination of academic, institutional and business community that turned out to be an effective model for the success of the event and something to be pride of.
